Thirty two members of the Arts Society Welwyn Garden will be in Scotland next week for their annual holiday.
They are staying at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld, and have organised two evening lectures, starting at 6.15pm, by Dr. Evelyn Silber.
- Tuesday 23rd May:Dear Green Spaces - Glasgow’s architecture.
- Wednesday 24th May: Glasgow’s Artists
They have spare capacity of about 20 at these lectures and their Chairman, Ian Burgess, has invited LADFAS to join them to either or both lectures, as guests of Welwyn Garden.
If you would like to attend, please contact Ian on
- on 07852 962 161 or
- at KathBurgess@Bengeoherts.co.uk
so that they can arrange to have enough seats in the room.
You will need to make your own way there; none of the committee is able to attend.
This is a very generous offer and the lectures sound very interesting!
Joan Deane , who has organised our programme for next year, tells me that Dr Silber will speak to us at our January meeting. Great minds think alike!
If anyone would like to go, and is looking fot travel companions, I will act as a go-between.
Just let me know and I will pass on your details to anyone else planning to go, provided they let me know!
