May Morris: Art & Life explores the life and work of the youngest daughter of William Morris’ youngest daughter who took charge of the Morris & Co embroidery department at age 23 and was responsible for some of the company’s most iconic designs. While her embroidery and work is explored in detail in the exhibition, her life is equally fascinating. With female members excluded from the Art Workers Guild, she founded the Women's Guild of Arts in 1907, and was politically active throughout her life.
